The UNDP has commended the Environmentally Sensitive Areas
(ESA) Project in Sri Lanka.
The Project is being spearheaded by the Ministry of
Environment with the Global Environment Facility and UNDP-Sri Lanka.
The UNDP–Sri Lanka tweeted that the project has a double
win.
It brings together sustainable ecotourism and extra safeguards to Sri Lanka's bountiful nature, it added.
Launched in January 2016, the ESA project looks at
sustainable utilization of sensitive ecosystems and ensures structural long
term sustainable development of the biological diversity of Sri Lanka.
