CTU’s condition for teachers to return to work on 21 Oct

The Ceylon Teachers Union is laying down a condition if teachers are to return to work when schools reopen on 21 October.

The Rs.30 billion allocation recommended by a ministerial subcommittee to resolve the salary anomalies of teachers and principals should be made available before that date, says CTU secretary Joseph Stalin.

Failing that, the TUs will have to discuss and take some sort of a decision, he says.
