DGHS issues new health guidelines

 

A revised set of health guidelines was issued today (30) by the Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena.

Accordingly, all non essential travel will be restricted from 10:00 pm to 04:00 am daily.

As per new guidelines, persons will be permitted to leave households for work purposes, or to obtain health services while public transport services will be permitted to carry only up to the maximum seating capacity.

Meetings, seminars, conferences, brand launches, will be allowed with only 25 people present.

Parties and any such gatherings, and tuition classes will not be allowed.

Supermarkets,  pharmacies, groceries, shops will serve only 10% of accommodation capacity at a time.

Only 10 persons will be allowed at a time for a non-Covid 19 funeral till 15 October, while 25 people will be allowed from 16-31 October.
