Adani Group signs WCT pact with JKH & SLPA

 

India's Adani Group has signed a build-operate-transfer (BOT) agreement with local partners John Keells Holdings and  Sri Lanka Ports Authority to jointly develop the West Container Terminal (WCT) in Colombo Port, with an investment exceeding USD 700 million.

Approximately 51% of shares of WCT will be vested with the Adani Group, while 34% of the shares will be with John Keells and 15% with the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.

Operations of the WCT will be carried out by a newly-formed joint company named the West Container International Terminal.
