IMF chief says prolonged slowdown in China will have global spillover impact

BOAO, China : A more prolonged slowdown in China will have a spillover impact globally, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said on Thursday in a video speech to the annual Boao Forum for Asia, adding that Beijing has the policy space to support its economy.

Central banks globally should act decisively and communicate clearly, Georgieva said.
