Weather Today (07) Heavy showers above 100 mm expected in places of 7 provinces

 

According to the weather forecast notice issued by the Department of Meteorology for 07 November 2021 showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in these areas.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere particularly during the afternoon or night. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in these areas.

Department of Meteorology requests general public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
