The State Minister of Production, Supply, and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals revealed that a slight increase in Covid cases has already been reported in the Anuradhapura District.

Professor Channa Jayasumana warned that Sri Lanka will not be able to escape the fourth wave if proper precautions are not taken.

He said that the world is gearing up to face a fourth wave of COVID-19 in December and Sri Lanka should also take necessary precautions in this regard.

However, the public is behaving like the country was never affected by the virus, the State Minister pointed out.

Calling on the public to strictly adhere to the health guidelines, Channa Jayasumana said that parents must take extra care to safeguard their children.
