Other IPL connect for Emirates T20 comes from the fact that league is conceptualised by none other than former CEO of IPL Sundar Raman. The league will be owned by Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) and is duly approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The Glazer family that owns and runs the Manchester United football club may have fallen short of a few thousand crores in their attempt to buy an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise last month but that isn’t stopping them from making a foray into the cricketing world.

According to the report, league is likely to start in January 2022 & the owners of the league will be unveiled officially very soon.

Will Indian Players Play in Emirates T20 League? Till date BCCI hasn’t allowed any of their current cricketers to play in any T20 / T10 league globally. But all that can change with Emirates T20.

BCCI now shares great bond & relationship with ECB. ECB has hosted last two IPL’s (IPL 2020 & IPL 2021 2nd Phase) & recently concluded T20 World Cup on behalf of BCCI in UAE.

ECB is confident that BCCI will allow some of their players to play in their league. Moreover teams like Mumbai Indians & KKR joining the bandwagon will mean BCCI’s blessings this time will not be hard to come by.
