Sri Lanka players to get booster dose on return from UAE
Sri Lanka’s national players might be given a dose of
booster vaccine as soon as they arrive after the World Cup from the UAE.
This was revealed by Prof. Arjuna de Silva, the chairman of
the medical panel of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board, talking to the 'Deccan
Chronicle' over the phone from Colombo.
he said, “all our nationwide gamers already had two doses of
(Sputnik) vaccine and it could be around six months as soon as they return from
the World Cup”.
“We might be conducting the antibody exams on their return
and people discovered low in exams might be given a booster dose of Pfizer
vaccine”.
After the World Cup, Sri Lanka will play two assessment
matches at Galle (21- 25 November and 29 November- 3 December).
“No followers might be allowed for the house sequence in
opposition to Windies, however sure, we’re planning to permit their entry
within the Lanka Premier League (LPL)”, de Silva confirmed.
Additionally, it is learnt that each player of the Under-19 team which defeated
Bangladesh (5-0) got the primary dose of
Pfizer vaccine on twenty sixth October.
