Over 200 passengers arrive on Sri Lankan flight from France
Over 200 passengers arrived today on the first SriLankan
Airlines flight which resumed operations to France after 6 years.
The SriLankan Airlines flight from the Charles de Gaulle
Airport arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning with
over 200 passengers, including a number of tourists.
The airlines’ new service will operate scheduled flights
between Colombo‛s Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and France‛s Paris
Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) non-stop every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
using a fleet of Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
The inaugural flight from Colombo to Paris left Colombo on
30th October and arrived in Paris on the 31st morning at 7.30 am.
Upon arrival in Paris, the Sri Lankan community in Paris
together with the Sri Lankan Embassy in France welcomed the Sri Lankan
delegation led by the Minister for Tourism and Promotions Prasanna Ranathunga
and Chairman SriLankan Airlines Ashok Pathirage.
