Match 17 - T20 World Cup 2021: Scotland Vs Afghanistan

Scotland and Afghanistan are set to lock horns in Match No.17 of the T20 World Cup today, October 25 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. For Afghanistan  both Zazai and Shahzad scored half-centuries against West Indies in the warm-up fixture, while Rahmanullah Gurbaz has solidified his position in the national team after managing to impress regularly, on the other hand Scotland, Experienced pros Richie Berrington, Kyle Coetzer, George Munsey and Calum MacLeod will have an important role to play with the bat, while eyes will be upon pacer Josh Davey and all-rounder Chris Greaves after their shows in the first round.

Pitch and conditions

While the pitches at Sharjah, during the IPL and the first round of the T20 World Cup were slow and difficult to get big scores on, the match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka a day before this one, suggested that this was not always the norm. If the pitch does play better, the conditions swing towards batters because of the small boundaries. This is a night game, so dew might also come into play more.
