imported milk powder to be released to the market tomorrow

The Milk Powder Importers Association states that the imported milk powder will be released to the market from tomorrow

Its member Lakshman Weerasuriya stated that the relevant stocks of milk powder are being packaged at present

The new price of a kilogram of milk powder which will be increased by 250 rupees is 1195 rupees.

A 400 gram packet of milk powder has been increased by Rs. 100 to Rs. 480 ,Milco also stated that the prices of imported milk powder as well as local milk powder will have to be increased.

The chairman of the company Lasantha Wickramasekara stated at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday that the price of local milk powder should be increased as the cost of production of local milk powder has also increased.

Meanwhile, new prices for gas, cement and wheat flour will be announced tomorrow

It is reported that with the removal of the control price a 50 kg bundle of cement will increase by Rs. 97.

The price of a kilogram of wheat flour will increase between 10 and 12 rupees.

However, a specific price for gas has not yet been decided
