According to the weather forecast notice issued by the Department of Meteorology for 01 October 2021, cloudy skies will prevailed over most parts of the country.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at most parts of the island. Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Uva and Southern provinces. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places elsewhere.

Department of Meteorology requests general public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
