Electricity bill : Notice to consumers

 Measures will be taken to levy a surcharge or interrupt the power supply to the consumers who have not settled their electricity bills, Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL).

PUCSL chairman Janaka Ratnayake said that the decision would be announced within this week.

According to the CEB, the due payments from electricity consumers have accumulated to Rs. 44 billion at present.
