Legends League 2022: Giants lift first title
The World Giants beat the Asia Lions by 25 runs to clinch the inaugural Legends League Cricket tournament in Muscat yesterday (29).
Asked to bat first, the Giants posted a record 256 for five - courtesy a blistering 43-ball 94 not out from Corey Anderson.
Kevin Pietersen made 48 from 22 deliveries, while Brad Haddin (37) and Daren Sammy (38) helped the Giants post the highest team total of the tournament.
In its reply, the Lions managed only 231 for eight.
