Dr. Athula Kahandaliyanage dies of Covid-19

A former secretary to the ministry of health, Dr. Athula Kahandaliyanage, died last night (22) while undergoing treatment for Covid-19.

He had been warded at Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital for the past three weeks to undergo surgery for cancer.

His funeral is due to take place later today while adhering to health guidelines.
