Creative arts important for progress, peace, harmony - Baglay
Indian high commissioner Gopal Baglay has underlined the importance of creative arts for progress, peace and harmony.
He offered closer cooperation in this regard between Sri Lanka and India.
Baglay was speaking as chief guest at the 13th general convocation of University of Visual and Performing Arts in Colombo.
HC stressed that millennia-old shared cultural links between the two countries were served by similarities their ancient and contemporary institutions such as Nalanda and Shantiniketan.
