60 pc of work complete on Nawala Canal bridge
Almost 60 per cent of work has been completed so far of a new bridge across the Nawala canal intended to ease heavy traffic congestion in Rajagiriya.
Construction of the two-lane bridge that is 600 m long and 10.4 m wide is being supervised by the Road Development Authority.
It will be built on poles in order to protect the area’s marshland.
The Rs. 1,700 million project includes the development of the road infrastructure in Ethul Kotte and Angampitiya areas.
