Veteran artist Sampath Tennakoon passed-away

Veteran stage and teledrama actor Sampath Tennakoon has passed away. 

He was born on June 20, 1959 and was 62 years old at the time of his death. He was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. 

 An alumnus of Isipathana College, Colombo, he has acted in over 50 stage plays and 

his debut film experience was a minor role in the 1990 film Hima Gira directed by Vijaya Dharma Sri. Since then he has acted in about 12 films.
