Apps owned by Facebook (now Meta) together with WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and different apps have began exhibiting the corporate’s new Meta branding on each Android and iOS gadgets. The splash screen of WhatsApp, Instagram and more now shows a “from Meta” tag as an alternative of the erstwhile “from Facebook” tag.

The metaverse that Meta (erstwhile Facebook) has announced will be a virtual environment where people will be interact with each other virtually over the Internet in a more immersive manner. The rebranding also comes amid complaints of Facebook ignoring hate speech on its platform for prioritizing profit.
