Weather Today (16) Showers occur at times in most parts of the Island

 

According to the weather forecast notice issued by the Department of Meteorology showers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. A few showers are likely in Anuradhapura district.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere particularly during the afternoon or night.

Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

Department of Meteorology requests general public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
