The T20 World Cup 2022 is set to get staged in Australia
The T20 World Cup 2021 was all set to take place in India
before it moved to the UAE by BCCI due to the COVID-19 scare in the Asian
nation. However, the hosting rights remained with the BCCI and they have
remained so far successful in hosting the tournament with no scare of COVID-19
in the gulf nation. The tournament is being played under a strict bio-bubble
wherein regular testing keeps taking place.
The next edition of T20 WC will see action in Australia and
the eight teams have already qualified for the Super 12 stage. While Bangladesh
has moved into the top eight, West Indies have slipped from the top eight slots
as per the current performances.
