Actor Sarath Chandrasiri remains in hospital

Veteran actor Sarath Chandrasiri remains in serious condition following a brain hemorrhage.

He is under intensive care at Colombo National Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.

His colleague Sriyantha Mendis refuted reports that Chandrasiri has died in hospital.

Popular actor Mihira Sirithilake, in a facebook post, urged persons behind those reports to consider the plight of Chandrasiri’s family and stop seeking fb likes and comments.

Mendis also said that two other veteran actors, Giriraj Kaushalya and Sampath Tennakoon, too, are hospitalized with illnesses.
