Weather Today (29) Strong Winds and Heavy Rains up to 100 mm expected

 

According to the weather forecast notice issued by the Department of Meteorology for 29 October 2021 the low pressure area is currently located in the sea area off eastern coast of the island. Showery condition is expected over most parts of the island under the influence of this system. Cloudy skies can be expected over the island.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the most parts of the island. Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places.

Department of Meteorology requests general public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
