Weather Today (19) Above 100 mm heavy rain expected in five provinces

According to the weather forecast issued by the Department
of Meteorology for 19 October 2021
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in
Northern, North-central, Eastern, Central, Uva and North-Western provinces and
Hambantota district during the evening or night.
Heavy showers about 100 mm can be expected at some places in
Northern, North-Central Eastern and Uva provinces.
Several spells of showers will occur in Western and
Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
Department of Meteorology requests general
public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized
strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
