Hundreds were evacuated from Honduras’ island of Guanaja when raging fire destroyed homes
A major fire at Honduran’s resort of Guanaja has come under
police control after destroying dozens of homes and forcing hundreds of
residents to evacuate. At least three people were injured in the fire, which
started early on Saturday, officials said.
It is unclear how the fire started.
Guanaja, with an area of only 19 square kilometers, is one
of the three Bay Islands in Honduras and its main income is from tourism
