Fair weather will prevail in most parts of the island

 

According to the weather forecast notice issued by the Department of Meteorology for 09 October 2021, several spells of light showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.           

Showers or thundershowers will occur at Northern province in the morning.  Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere.  

Department of Meteorology further mentioned that  wind speed can be increased up to 50 kmph at times in the western slope of central hills, Northern and North-Central provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambanthota districts.
