Mill owners announce revised MRP for rice and paddy

                            

 

Following the withdrawal of the Gazette notification imposing the maximum retail prices of rice, large-scale rice mill owners have announced a revised set of prices.

Speaking to the media, rice businessman Dudley Sirisena announced the following price revisions

Keeri Samba: Rs. 165/- per kg

White/Red Samba: Rs. 140/- per kg

White/Red Nadu: Rs. 115/- per kg 

He further noted that the following maximum retail prices have been set for the purchase of paddy:

Keeri Samba paddy: Rs. 80/- per kg

White/Red Samba paddy: Rs. 70/- per kg

White/Red Nadu paddy: Rs. 62/- per kg
